Podcast Guest “It's a long road” is the runner and coach Petros Minas.

Petros is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a specialization in Classical Sports (Athletics).

 

He has been serving in the Hellenic Police since 2000, he has graduated from the school of basic training of Police personnel for the staffing of the E.K.A.M. and has served in it. He has taken part in two Pan-European Police Marathon Championships with the National Team of the Greek Police in 2018 in Dublin, Ireland and in 2022 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, he has finished a total of 18 Marathons in Greece and abroad with a best performance in 2022 in Valencia with time 2:39:23.

In the year 2020, he was the seventh best Marathon Runner in Greece in the annual statistics of SEGAS.

He has participated in many road and mountain races including twice in the Olympus Mountaineering Marathon and once in the Olympus Marathon, he has participated in triathlons and he has finished twice in a long distance triathlon (Half iron) in Almiraman, with a best performance of 5h 02m.

We will have an interesting discussion with Petros, since we will talk about the role of training, endurance and how it improves, training zones, Long Runs and other equally interesting topics that concern all amateur runners.
