Podcast Guest “It's a long road” is the long-distance runner and doctor Stelios Pantazis.

 

Stelios Pantazis is a doctor specialized in Medical nutrition and metabolic disorders. In 2012 he completed his Medical Specialization in the science of Antiaging Medicine at the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine and continuing his studies, he completed in 2017 a second Medical Specialization in Medical Nutrition and Metabolic Disorders at the Medical Institute of Metabolism.

These Medical specializations have allowed him to apply his most specialized knowledge in a new space for the study of metabolism, the Metabolic Lab, which became a reality in 2021 and is located at 303 Mesogeion Avenue in Chalandri.

Also from 2020 he holds a master's degree in obesity and overweight management from the University of South Wales, while recently, in 2023, he also holds a second master's degree from the University of Essex, in psychology with a thesis comparing psychological profile, motivation, endurance and exercise dependence among marathon and ultramarathon runners.

By Stelio Pantazis we will have an interesting discussion since with his help we will try to analyze and clear up various myths concerning sports nutrition, such as protein supplements, carbohydrate consumption, how much water to drink, whether it is good or not to eat at night, for gels and other equally interesting topics that concern all amateur runners.
